Premiere KCBS Master

BBQ Series Competition

Rotary District 5330  is hosting a premiere barbecue competition, Rotary Ignite Festival, a KCBS Sanctioned Master Series event.

BBQ Teams from all over the country will descend to Lake Skinner compete for cash, prizes, and points.

The Ignite Festival BBQ Competition is a Sanctioned Kansas City BBQ Masters Series Competition.  This means that there are cash prizes and team points earned from this competition are counted toward overall points for the year through KCBS.  The total prize purse is $8,000 and cash prizes are given for all four meats down to 10th place.   Cash prizes are raised from the team entry fees.

There will be a separate NON-KCBS ranked competition for Rotary teams only.  This would be for clubs that put together a BBQ team for this event.

All teams can participate as people’s choice which means they will not only cook meat for the competition but also cook additional meat and sides for public consumption.  Some teams may choose to do people’s choice only.  All teams that choose to be people’s choice must abide by the Riverside County health regulations and guidelines which will be provided to each team as they register.
