Human Trafficking Awareness Trailer
It’s been almost a year since the District 5330 Human Trafficking Awareness trailer debuted at the District Training Assembly last April. In that time, it has been all over our district to your events, it was at the KABOOM festival last July 4th in Pomona, it was shown at the Peace Conference in Northern California, at the Tour de Palm Springs cycling event and at SWPETS. Where folks from 5 other districts had a chance to view the video.
The trailer and its message has been seen by thousands of people. Some commenting that they didn’t know Human Trafficking was a problem in this country. Some sharing stories of survival and healing. Some thanking us for having this exhibit.
We, you, the Rotarians of District 5330 are doing a great thing for the people of our communities and our world, shining a light on Human Trafficking.
Let’s keep it up. If you are interested in having the trailer at your event, or just need more information please go to the District website click on “what we do” scroll down to Anti-Human Trafficking and fill out the form. It will come to me, and I will respond to you.
Or just send me an email if you have questions.
Thank you

Spotlight on Youth: Interact End-of-Year Conference at Galway Downs
On Saturday, May 17, while Rotarians gather for the District Conference at Galway Downs, something equally powerful will be happening just steps away—the Interact End-of-Year Conference!
This special event will bring together Interact students from across District 5330 for a day of service, connection, and celebration. At the heart of the conference is the Epic Day of Service, a large-scale project supporting three youth-focused nonprofit agencies in Riverside County, The Rose Again Foundation, Voices for Children and The Oak Grove Center. It’s an inspiring opportunity for Interactors to come together, take action, and make a real impact in their communities.
The day will also include our Interact Awards Ceremony, where we’ll recognize the outstanding achievements of our clubs over the past year. From grassroots service projects to global efforts, our Interact students have shown what’s possible when young people lead with purpose.
While this is a youth-focused event, we hope all Rotarians are proud to know it’s happening alongside the District Conference. Please help us by encouraging your Interact students to attend and be part of this memorable day!

2025 April – Community Service
April is a month of renewal as we move from spring to summer. Living in SoCal this is also the time when we witness the kick-off to summer which is when we see everything dry out and the fuel piles up for fires. We all know that vigilance moving into fire season in our area pays off tenfold. After witnessing the terrible disasters in Pacific Palisades & Altadena (just to name a couple) far too many folks were impacted with the worst nightmare.
A great community service opportunity is to contact your local fire department and city halls and see if they can help identify properties of elderly or disabled that need abatement and the resident is either not in the physical condition to handle their own abatement or afford to pay to have it done. Making a property fire safe can make a huge difference. Once identified, teams can contact the property owners and offer to assist in abating the property going into fire season so that there is at least a 10’ clearance of brush and flammables around the structure.
Many times those that are compromised either physically or financially don’t know who to turn to for help.
Perhaps when working on abatements your club can set up teams with a competition to see which team can fill up the greatest amount of trash bags on a project…… and the losing team ….has to buy lunch for the winning team. Like everything else in Rotary working shoulder to shoulder is always both fun and productive.
Contacting local fire departments and city government to see what your club can do to lower the fire risk in your community can and will make a huge difference.

2025 April – Vocational Service
Dear D5330 Rotarians,
We are winding down this Rotary year with many meaningful events scheduled to take place very soon.
The District Training Assembly is scheduled for April 19th and offers 29 sessions! It will be held again at Tahquitz High School in Hemet from 8:30 AM-1 PM for the most reasonable price of $30 per person. This includes a continental breakfast and a box lunch. I am looking forward to conducting a 45-minute session on the 5 Avenues of Service with an emphasis, of course, on Vocational Service. Be sure to sign up through the DACdb site! So far, 155 Rotarians are registered and the numbers are increasing quickly.
On May 17th, DG Judy will hold our annual District Conference at Galway Downs in Temecula. At that time, in addition to all of the other club awards being presented, your district’s Vocational Service Committee will be presenting the Rotary Award for Vocational Excellence, or R.A.V.E. This award will single out a premiere Business/Profession in our district that has greatly benefited their particular community this Rotary year. So far, 5 clubs have nominated a candidate, AND YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO NOMINTE YOURS. The deadline date is April 15th. Just send me an e-mail at: [email protected] to request a Nomination Form, but be quick!
I look forward to seeing you all at these events!
Sincerely,
Bill Chase, PDG
