DG Message – August 2024

This Rotary year is off to a great start.   The transition month of July has proved to be full of new club presidents and boards settling into their positions and preparing for a successful Rotary Year.

Club visits have started, and I am having the time of my life getting to know each Rotarian in every club I visit.  We are also celebrating Inspiring Rotary Heroes in every club.  So far, the following Rotary Heroes have been recognized:

Inspiring Rotary Heroes

Scott Davis – Rotary Club of Temecula

Jimmy Hsieh – Temecula Sunrise

Dianne Hoffman – New Old Town Temecula

Mike Shirley – Murrieta

Linda Dozier – Murrieta

Interact Assembly

For the first time in many years, we will hold a District Interact Training Assembly on Saturday, August 3rd. This event, made possible by the hard work of District Youth Chair Jackie Chatman and her team, will be a pivotal moment, welcoming over 60 Interact students and advisors to a one-day training that will help prepare them for a successful and rewarding year.

This team is also working on an Interact Conference for spring 2025, so keep an eye out for more information on that event coming soon.
